About the Artist

Bobby Tochterman, CoFounder of Maverick House, is known for his artistry, technical mastery, and general goofiness.  He is a highly sought-after colorist and stylist for the fashion and music industry, having worked with such notable commercial clients as Versace and Ana Sui.  His work has been featured in Vogue.com, Nylon Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Mode and American Express Style. 

Originally from Wisconsin, Bobby first developed his skills as the master colorist of Cowboys and Angels Salon SF, eventually moving on to lead their education program.  Before long Bobby’s reputation began resonating within New York's exclusive editorial climate and he relocated to NYC to hone his expertise under hair styling genius Garren.  This invaluable experience and exposure was instrumental in propelling Bobby to the top of his profession.

As an artist, Bobby draws inspiration from numerous eclectic sources, whether its the street style in SF/NYC, the supermodels of the 90s, or any number of musicians of the 70’s. He is currently based in New York at Maverick House (maverickhousenyc.com), but frequents San Francisco and Los Angeles upon request.
